Volt is looking for qualified Manufacturing Engineers 2nd and 3rd shifts to work on-site with our customer in various locations throughout
iowa
and
illinois
in the manufacturing and agriculture environment. The key responsibilities are:
- Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of moderate scope.
- Provides support and trouble shooting for current operations and investigates, gathers and analyze data and implement solutions.
- Innovates and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope.
- Applies electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including e-builds, modeling and simulations.
- Designs operations layouts, improves material flow and material presentation, and leads team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency of moderate scope.
- Leads analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.
- Analyzes and makes modifications to existing performance pay plans; assists in development of baseline data for new performance pay plans.
Job Requirements
Candidate must be able to relocate at their own expense
-Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3-5 years of related work experience in lean manufacturing tools and applying six sigma.
- Robot programming experience recommended PLC experience a bonus
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, ProEngineer/ProE and AutoCAD - experience with these MUST be reflected on the resume.
- Work experience in a team environment and has the ability to manage and lead projects.
