The
position
is for a Controls Systems Engineer to lead the adoption of Model Based Design development practices. You will join and integrate into a group of 50 Systems, Software, Electrical, and Mechanical engineers working on primarily aircraft fuel system products for the commercial or military aircraft industry. You will work with systems and software engineers analyzing systems requirements to develop models that specify, design, and analyze the system and its software. Ultimately you will be responsible for development and implementation of the process and accompanying tools to use models and formal methods to specify, design, validate, and verify complex systems. Specific responsibilities and duties include:
Develop and implement the process at SIS-VT to use models and formal methods to specify, design, validate, and verify complex systems.
Interface with experts across UTC to bring the MBD best practices to SIS-VT.
Evaluate, study, and break down specific system requirements in order to separate them into the functional responsibilities needed for assigned projects.
Perform simulations to support system development.
Report and follow through system model development, prototyping and formalizing, acting as needed within the team based on project schedule requirements.
Interface directly with the customer for some technical issues.
Define project model requirements.
Perform various system analyses to support system development.
Work effectively across departments and within the engineering groups on and off site to ensure successful System Model development.
Teach and mentor other team members, specifically with Model Based Development processes and techniques.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Masters preferred) preferably in Systems, Electrical or Software engineering. This position requires an individual who has the thorough knowledge of both system requirements and detailed design necessary to drive a project through to successful conclusion. In addition, the ability to rise above the design and focus on the overall project and integration into aircraft systems will be required. Broad analytical skills and the ability to balance conflicting requirements are essential. Excellent communication skills are a key to success in this position. Other qualifications include:
Applicants must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Designated Asylee
Demonstrated expertise in model based development of complex systems
Experience in performing simulations, particularly in MATLAB / Simulink.
10 years professional experience in either design or systems engineering including both hardware and software elements.
Aerospace industry experience is highly preferred

MINIMUM QAULIFICATIONS
REQUIRED YEARS
Experience: 10 years of experience is required
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in Systems, Electrical or Software engineering.
INDUSTRY: Aeorospace, Automotive, or Industrial (highly technical)

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
