Job Duties: Operates light and heavy duty trucks and other construction
vehicles
and equipment, performs preventive maintenance on trucks and other equipment, performs snowplowing and de-icing, performs general street maintenance such as patching, crack filling and paving for concrete and asphalt pavements, performs maintenance and
repair
of catch basins, ditches, culverts and other storm water drainage systems, maintains traffic signals, street lights and signs, performs general building and park maintenance including basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, custodial cleaning, landscaping, mowing, planting, pruning, weeding, etc.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Wisconsin CDL driver-s license, parts ABCD, including type N endorsement, or ability to obtain within 30 days. Experience with operation of various construction related equipment is preferred. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions. Selected candidate will be required to perform manual labor including lifting, carrying and moving up to 50 lbs. frequently, regardless of the weather conditions. Must be able to work outside of normal work hours including weekends and holidays. Qualified applicants will be required to satisfactorily pass a series of tests which may include, but are not limited to aptitude testing, driving skill testing and drug testing.
