and is a designer and manufacturer of permanent magnet, induction and field wound electric motors and generators for transportation related harsh environments.
Responsibilities for the Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer Intern include but are not limited to:
Support the project management of existing and development programs.
Support the improvement of manufacturing product flow.
Conduct and document time studies of the various operations in the production cells.
Assist with the implementation of lean manufacturing,6S and Visual Factory projects.
Assist with the implementation of business process improvements.
Assist in cost reduction initiatives.
Support the implementation of new MRP software.
Enrolled in Bachelor's Degree program from an accredited school.
Target degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering preferred.
Junior or Senior standing preferred.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 required.
Ability to work 15
hours per week while
classes
are in session; full-time hours during summer/breaks. -Excellent
computer
skills, including experience in Power Point and Excel.
Good oral and written communication skills.
High level of initiative with excellent organizational skills.
Candidate must be U.S. person (United States citizen or permanent resident).
