Disaster Mitigation Technician

Our Disaster Mitigation Technician is a very important member of our company and will be responsible to lead a team of technicians in providing emergency and scheduled mitigation and abatement services for residential and commercial property owners, whose properties have sustained damage from fire, water, wind, mold. Typical Duties (but not limited to):
-Demolition after fire, water/flood, mold, or storm damages
-Remove carpets, drywall, insulation, etc
-Moving and packing customer contents
-Set, move, and monitor dehumidifiers, air movers, air scrubbers, and other equipment at job sites
- Physically able to lift 75 lbs.
-Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test & Background check. We are a drug-free work place
-Training will be provided to the eligible candidates.
-Water extraction and setting of equipment
-Equipment monitoring and paperwork associated with emergency services
-Response to damage caused by smoke, fire, water, mold, sewage, storms or vandalism
-Emergency board ups
-Demolition, mold remediation, content manipulation
-Equipment maintenance and ordering of supplies
Mitigation Tech will effectively communicate with clients, manage teamwork, help in all aspects of getting property dry and cleaned, and communicate with insurance personnel.
Long Term Employment Opportunity, this is not a temporary position.
This is a hands on and physical job.
Must have some computer skills
Ability to manage and motivate employees
Ability to oversee and direct work on multiple jobs and staffed by multiple employees
Advance verbal communication skills
Skills to evaluate and hire department employees
Bi-lingual (English-Spanish) PLUS
Must have a valid driver's license,
Ability to pass drug and criminal background checks
Be available to be on call after hours. On a rotating schedule
Must be dependable
Hours are 8:30-5:00ish. Plus taking some on-call night and weekend hours.
Available to work 24/7, 40
hours per week occasionally when scheduled
Have reliable transportation.
Wages $12 to $16 per hour.
Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test & Background check. We are a drug-free work place
Cannot have visible tattoos, piercings or be a smoker.
