Director, Department of Public Works The Town of Adams is seeking applicants to fill the Director of Public Works position.
An ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with a civil engineering background, experienced in community maintenance and public works operations.
The DPW Director manages a staff of 20-25 full-time employees, and is responsible for municipal streets and sidewalks, sewer system, storm drainage, cemeteries, parks, Town-owned buildings, and repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
Must be familiar & experienced managing a full range of community services efficiently and effectively.
Financial challenges demand strong budget and management skills, team building, and development of creative solutions to address community needs.
Qualifications include Bachelor's Degree in a field relative to civil engineering, public administration, engineering management, five years progressively responsible experience in public works operations and management, engineering, construction, or any equivalent combination thereof.
Salary Range $57,000 - $68,000.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
