Summary:
Lay out and fit fabricated components to assemble structural buildings and bridge girders, according to blueprints and knowledge of welding. Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding, apply knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal weld shrinkage. Lay out, position, align, and fit components together. Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding. May repair products my dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torch, straightening press, and handtools. Must have structural steel fitting experience and the ability to read structural steel blue print drawings and weld symbols.
