Senior Electrical Engineer (Commercial Building Power & Lighting Distribution Systems) Irvine, California Position:
Senior Electrical Engineer Building Power & Lighting Distribution Systems This is a full time long term employment opportunity to join our team.

Our services include mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) consulting engineering, building commissioning, CFD modeling, lighting design, technology integration, energy services and 3D modeling.
We administer comprehensive sustainable building services engineering as a single coordinated package to our clients.
KEY
Responsibilities:
1.
Manage multi-discipline projects for large facility design projects.
Understand clients expectation and manage project scope of work and engineering services.
Manage project budget and schedule.
Assume overall ownership and leadership of the project.
2.
Manage and execute assignments and assume ownership as lead electrical engineer on a project.
Manage and perform field verification tasks.
Perform engineering calculations and prepare engineered plans and specifications.
3.
Prepare Basis of Design and create conceptual designs gathered from Clients program requirements.
4.
Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policies.
Put these in clear concise work statement for the project team.
5.
Work with Business Development Team to respond to RFPs.
6.
Prepare preliminary cost opinions.
7.
Represent the company in project meetings.
8.
Perform peer review of internal in-house and other engineers drawings ENHANCED
Responsibilities:
1.
Prepare Commissioning pre-functional, functional, and acceptance testing forms, as well as oversee commissioning process in the field.
2.
Open to working equally in both the field, including travel, as well as in the office.
3.
Able to work on a project with 2 million square feet.
POSITION
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Previous experience with a consulting engineering or A/E firm as an Electrical Engineer Data Center, Mission Critical, or Commercial building project experience 10
years of electrical engineering experience (Power and lighting distribution systems for buildings / facilities) Licensed Professional Engineer in CA LEED Accreditation a plus Proficient in building and electrical codes Affiliations (IEEE, 7x24, USGBC, etc.
) Client Facing/Client relationship/Client Management skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Extensive experience with Critical Electrical Systems (ie.
UPS, Paralleling Switchgear, Generators, Power Distribution Units, etc.
).
Computer background:
MS Office:
Word, Excel and MS Project), AutoCAD a plus.
