Position Summary
Title: Land Acquisition Assistant
Full-time salaried position with benefits
Reports to the Director of Land Acquisition
Some driving required
Job Duties and Skills
Create and maintain database of potential development properties.
Research/update ownership and contact information to maintain quality land database information.
Manage a marketing system to solicit opportunities within the database, which will include mailers, phone calls, and emails.
Assist in market research and analysis comparing Fieldstone to its competition and monitoring the marketplace for opportunities and news of land transactions.
Conduct research to assist managers in determining project timelines and schedules.
Effectively interact with external parties to include municipalities, third party consultants, brokers, title companies and other real estate related companies
Obtain, organize, and demonstrate a basic understanding of due Diligence materials for project feasibility: plat maps, zoning and master plan maps, zoning code, applications, consultant bids and proposals, etc.
Strong reporting and communication skills.
Self-directed with sensitivity to timelines and issue resolution.
Ability to solve basic problems and/or know when it is necessary to get a manager to assist in problem solving.
Assist in gathering data to generate, organize, and maintain budget templates
Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with management, land owners, municipalities, and trade contractors.
Experience/Education
Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience of 1-2 years in or related to land development, land acquisition, real estate, planning or related fields preferred. Understanding of marketing and database/client management required.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Spreadsheets, and E-mail
Demonstrate an ability to learn and utilize Fieldstone's software and database software.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
