General Manager

Summary Basic Function:
The general manager is responsible for managing & planning the daily operations of the restaurant/bar, including
the selection, development and performance management of employees. In addition, they oversee the daily cash,
inventory and ordering of food, beer & supplies, optimize profits and ensure that customers are satisfied with their
dining experience.
Reporting Relationships:
The General Manager reports to the Area Director/President.
General:
_ Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make daily decisions concerning matters of importance.
_ Insure constant high quality training and motivation of staff.
_ Reach & maintain procedures and environment for optimum levels of profitability.
Financial:
_ Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs.
_ Responsible for ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting, deposits) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies & procedures.
Food Safety & Planning:
_ Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining
areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
_ Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality food preparation and service.
_ Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant/bar cleanliness, proper uniforms and appearance standards.
_ Estimate food and beverage costs. Work with corporate operations staff for efficient provisioning and purchasing of supplies. Supervise portion control and quantities of food preparation to minimize waste. _ Estimate food needs, place orders with distributors, and schedule the delivery of fresh food and supplies.
Customer Service:
_ Ensure World Class Wing Nutz customer service in all areas. Run food, step in to help employees when needed, respond to guest complaints, and take any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
Operational
Responsibilities:
_ Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and company assets. _ Ensure a safe working environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Completes accident reports promptly in the event a guest or employee is injured.
_ Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
_ Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
Personnel:
_ Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues.
_ Interview hourly employees. Direct hiring, supervision, development and, when necessary, termination of hourly employees.
_ Conduct orientations, explain the Wing Nutz Philosophy, and oversee the training of new employees.
_ Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and conducting performance reviews designed to motivate employees.
_ Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs. Prepare schedules and ensure that
the restaurant is staffed for all shifts.
Community Involvement:
_ Provide strong presence in local community activities and a high level of community involvement by restaurant and personnel.
Qualifications:
_ College degree in hotel/restaurant management or combination of practical experience and education is desirable.
_ Knowledge of computers sufficient to fulfill management functions.
_ Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing,
sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
_ Previously demonstrated skill in working effectively and efficiently with guests, employees & management.

_ Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure our food and service meet appropriate standards.
_ Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant/bar problems.
_ Must possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff.
_ Ability to coordinate multiple tasks such as food, beverage and labor cost while maintaining required standards of operation in daily restaurant activities.
_ Ability to determine applicability of experience and qualification of job applicants.
Accountabilities:
_ Keeps Area Director/President promptly and fully informed of all issues (i.e. problems, unusual matters of
significance and positive events) and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative course of action.
_ Completes job responsibilities and performance objectives in a timely, positive and effective manner and
in accordance with Wing Nutz policies and procedures.
_ Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness.
_ At all times provides a favorable image of Wing Nutz to promote its Philosophy.
_ Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Working Conditions:
_ Hours may vary if General Manager must fill in for their employees or if emergencies arise.
_ Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level, including delivery when needed.
_ Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 50 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
_ Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
