Director of Nursing

A St. George-based Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to manage the clinical operations of of their brand new health care facility. The DON position is primarily responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective utilization of facility clinical resources towards the matriculation/implementation of organizational policies, procedures, and objectives. The position reports directly to the Administrator and is responsible for the effective implementation of the following tasks:
1) Tracking, reporting, and implementation of the Minimum Data Set (MDS);
2) Management, scheduling, and training of facility clinical staff (Nurses and CNAs);
3) Implementation and creation of the comprehensive resident plan of care, inclusive of pre-authorization screenings and 10-A processes;
4) Coordination/management of all clinical elements of inter-departmental consultants and representatives;
5) Management and oversight of clinical labs, incident reports, census reporting, skin and weight meetings, infection control, and immunization protocols;
6) Clinical oversight of the facility Quality Assurance/Improvement program;
7) Clinical preparation and correction for Federal/State Survey and Recertification processes.
Minimum requisites include licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), advanced knowledge of the MDS process, and in-depth comprehension and experience within the long-term care industry.
Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse, in good standing, with the State of Utah/DOPL/Interstate Compact.
Must have a minimum of four years of relevant administrative nursing experience (DON, MDS Coordinator, Nursing Staff Developer, etc.).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
