Responsibilities:
The Executive Director is an energetic, self-motivated position that requires the capacity to work on the ground level of the organization as well as the capacity to develop staff, board, and leaders.
The position requires the ability to develop long-term relationships with a diverse volunteer population, clergy, elected officials and key stakeholders.
Lastly, this management role assumes the responsibility to support leaders and staff in order to maintain the organization's winning track record by overseeing organizing campaigns around immigration, foreclosures, health access, education, safe return, and violence prevention that take place across county.
Hire, manage, and develop CCISCO staff Work and support all CCISCO leaders in order to create successful campaigns Maintain the CCISCO budget and develop a plan to continue its successful expansion Manage existing grants while developing a plan to expand and diversify CCISCO's funding Work with the board and staff to maintain financial stability of the organization Build coalitions with elected officials, policy leaders and other strategic allies Minimum
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years organizing experience, preferably in PICO National Network At least 3 years of congregation-based organizing experience, successful staff supervision and development, campaign victories and financial management Respect for diversity, ability to motivate large groups and a strong commitment to social justice History of embracing fundraising and diversifying funding sources Proven track record of successful grant writing Ability to navigate through political environment, familiarity with Contra Costa County communities and knowledge of the key issues they face is preferred Knowledge of legislative process at city, state, and national levels Strong written and interpersonal communication skills Spanish fluency is preferred Salaries &

Salary and benefits are competitive and are based on level of experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
