Certified Surgical Technician (LVNs Eligible) - Labor %26 Delivery - Vista Health (Laredo, TX)
Responsible for assisting in the care of patients under the direction of an RN or LPN.
Setting up the operating room prior to surgery Stocking surgical supplies Sterilizing instruments, gowns, surfaces and other supplies Checking surgical machines and equipment Preparing patients for surgery Transporting patients to and from surgery Passing instruments to surgeons during surgery Monitoring patients vital signs Minor medical procedures Education:
Completion of accredited CST program with current certification.
OR Current TX LVN license
Experience:
Prefer one year of experience as a technician, preferably in the area of application.
Able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards under the supervision of an RN.
Emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
Exhibit proficiency in patient care and oral communication skills.
Required graduate of Certified Surgical Technician program.
