Solar Panel Alternative Energy Engineer (Office Engineer / Energy Modeling) Solar Panel & Photovoltaic (PV) Engineering & Construction San Jose, California Duration:
Long Term Full Time Direct Employment Compensation:
$ Base Salary
Commission equivalent to industry related skills and experience, plus benefits.
Solar Alternative Energy Technical Engineer Role and
Responsibilities:
(include but are not limited to) - Technical Alternative Energy Modeling Evaluation and Analysis of Energy Usage and Systems - Alternative Energy Economic Modeling / Financial Modeling Energy usage history and rate structure - Power Generation Systems Conceptual Design - Alternative Energy conceptual drawings using Google Sketchups or similar program - Alternative Energy System project costing and estimating assistance - Energy Modeling, Database, Costing System integration - Technical review of various alternative energy manufacturing and technologies Solar Alternative Energy Technical Engineer Qualifications and Experience Needed:
- Bachelors degree of higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Energy Management or closely related field.
Degree can be substituted by transferrable alternative energy engineering industry experience.
- Knowledge and experience of Solar Panel Plant engineering and construction and how much energy can be produced from such systems is a plus.
Familiarity with alternative engineer technical design, engineering, construction, installation, and technology is a plus.
- Knowledge of Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of spreadsheets, data base creation and cross-disciplinary knowledge of spreadsheets, and engineering economics needed.
Proficient working knowledge of MS Office, SQL, C++, AutoCAD, PV systems, MS Word & Exel is preferred.
- Working knowledge of thermal, passive, solar, and other power generation cycles.
- Knowledge of basic accounting practices.
