1 Description Asbestos Air Monitor/Inspector General
Responsibilities:
As anAsbestos Air Monitor/Inspector with Terracon you will be responsible for performing project management duties within theasbestos, lead and indoor air quality department consisting of report and proposal preparation, surveys and project oversight.
Assist technician or staff professional in complex tasks.

Department Manager and/or Office Manager Position Supervises:
None Essential Functions and Duties:
Mobilizes equipment and supplies for field projects Assists in operating and maintaining remediation systems Transports equipment, supplies and documents to project sites, clients or other offices.
Prepares chain of custody documents.
Assists in basic survey/measurement data Cleans and maintains field monitoring equipment Tabulates data and prepares reports Assists Environmental technicians or professional staff in operations such as well sampling, collecting field data and sample shipping.
Assists in construction of groundwater monitoring wells.
Report all unsafe conditions to your Supervisor.
Other Duties:
May perform drafting when necessary.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, or smell.
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee may be required to drive, often hundreds of miles per day.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally move more than 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to pass a medical examination as may be required by OSHA regulations.
Essential Skills/Abilities:
Basic math skills.
Ability to clearly communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
Participate in the medical monitoring program, if required.
Work Environment:
Overnight travel may be required with this position.
Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one to two years air monitoring/project management experience on abatement jobs.
Bi-lingual preferred.
License/Registration:
At least of the following:
Air Monitoring Technician, Project Manager orAsbestosInspector through the Texas Department of State Health Services.
TDSHS license in asbestos air monitoring, project management and/or inspector, proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
