Maintenance Engineers- several positions
Angelica Textile Services is the leading provider of textile rental and laundry services to healthcare institutions. We have several openings in our Gilroy, CA, service center for a committed and energetic maintenance engineer.
REPORTS TO:
Chief Engineer or his assistant.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
Under minimal supervision, is responsible for the overall maintenance of all equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on all production & supporting equipment. Must communicate and interact well with maintenance / production department personnel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Included but are not limited to the following:
1. Troubleshoot, support & repair of all production equipment. 2. Determine material, parts, and equipment to be used for repair, installation and stock. Communicate same to Chief Engineer. 3. Coordinate and participate in scheduled/preventive maintenance on all production equipment. 4. Install, inspect, repair and maintain the mechanical, electrical and other related systems in all production and supporting departments. 5. Inspect, operate and maintain steam, heating, cooling and water treatment systems in entire plant. 6. Complete all necessary documentation as described under company guidelines. Must comply with all company safety rules and policies.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED1. High school diploma or higher 2. Minimum 5 years industrial/commercial maintenance experience, with strong problem solving skills 3. Minimum one professional reference 4. Ability to effectively communicate (both written and oral) 5. Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics at basic level 6. Must be flexible in daily schedule and willing to work overtime as needed 7. Must have basic hand tools -- sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, multimeter, etc.
Must be able to work evenings/weekends/holidays. Working conditions are as one would epect in a typical industrial plant, including hot; noisy, or wet conditions.
