Composite Materials Technology Instructor

SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Supports the College Mission and serves students, employers, and the College community by providing quality Materials Technology/Composites manufacturing processes and technology job skills training in a safe, clean environment. Instructor will prepare students for occupations or functions in the application of reinforced composite fabrication, repair, finishing and assembly techniques, and blueprint reading. Maintains a positive and productive learning environment by working collaboratively with students, staff, faculty and College partners. Success of an instructor includes the ability to:
collaborate, simplify, communicate, advocate, celebrate success, build trust, empower others, and improve the College community and its programs.
Responsible to provide instruction, monitor and record progress, develop and implement curriculum, create and support Advisory Committee, maintain and implement classroom management plan consistent with College policy, and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate of Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Science or related field required. Five to ten years proven work experience required in composite manufacturing techniques and applications, including three or more of the following:
openmold, lay-up, vacuum bagging, prepreg fabrication, sandwich core construction, composite repair, assembly and finishing, mold construction, and blueprint reading. Prior teaching experience preferred. Must have demonstrated thinking skills, ability to lead, and the ability to act as an advocate for the College in all partnerships. Must have open, positive communication skills with ability to foster a productive learning environment. Position requires ability to work a flexible schedule, and may require evening and weekend hours.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
