Summary:
The Fundraising & Community Outreach Coordinator works to coordinate community outreach fundraising, which includes:
following all established protocols at the shelter
setting up and overseeing community outreach opportunities and fundraising events
performing after event assessment to determine effectiveness of events
working to educate customers about the Principles of Responsible Pet Ownership and CHS through positive interaction with customers
working in coordination with a variety of professions including staff from other areas and professionals from the community
working with the fundraising committee and working to determine ways to cultivate and improve their success
Essential Skills and
Experience:
Skills and experiences required to adequately perform this position include:
Bachelors degree in public relations, marketing or business
2
years of animal care experience
2
years of experience in public relations, marketing or business management
knowledge of animal care, training and illnesses
experience providing exceptional public service
ability to communicate effectively with staff on a variety of levels
Non-Essential Skills and
Experience:
Skills and experiences desired, but not required, to adequately perform this position include:
a Masters degree in public relations, marketing or business

years of animal care experience
5
years experience in marketing or business management
Authority:
The & Fundraising Community Outreach Coordinator reports to the Executive Director. No employees report to the Community Outreach & Fundraising Coordinator.
