THE NORTH Adams Transcript, a six-day-a-week daily, is seeking a talented full time SPORTS REPORTER to join its staff.
The successful candidate will become the second person in the department and work closely with our sports editor.
The primary responsibility of the position is to report on the four high schools and two colleges within the Transcript's circulation area of Northern Berkshire County and Southern Vermont.
The position includes some pagination for the print edition, as well as occasional photography duties.
While experience with pagination, a camera and photo editing is preferred, it is not required.
We are willing to train the right person.
The Transcript has a solid Internet presence and the sports reporter will be expected to support our online content by shooting and editing video and interacting with the community through social media.
In the summer, the Transcript covers the New England Collegiate Baseball League's North Adams SteepleCats, as well as American Legion baseball.
The Transcript is located in beautiful North Adams, in an area where outdoor activities are plentiful.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
