McCutcheon Enterprises, Inc. (MEI) is a leading waste management company, located in Apollo, PA. Since 1947, MEI has provided transportation, treatment, disposal and on site environmental services for a wide variety of clients.
MEI is seeking energetic, flexible and ambitious individuals for the position of Driver/Operator. Working as part of a driver/operator team, the key responsibilities and duties include:
- Drives a variety of vehicles to worksite operations. Vehicles include tractor trailers, roll off trailers, straight vans, dump trucks
- Delivers and obtains roll off containers
- Transports bulk dump trailer loads of waste products
- Transfers liquid waste and loads trailers
- Delivers and operates specialized equipment for emergency response and remediation sites
- Infrequent overnight travel (one day/week or less)
- Performs non driving, field duties such as tank cleaning, hose coupling, liner and tarp installation, spill reponse, containment, recovery and clean up as necessary
Requirements:
- Three or more years of driving experience including an excellent driving record required
- Previous training in defensive driving, ICC and DOT regulations, and specialized hazardous waste training, OSHA 1910.120
- Class A CDL with hazardous materials and hazardous tanker endorsements required
- Prior experience operating specialized transportation and performing field operations tasks is helpful
- Able to complete a comprehensive training program on specialized equipment operation; spill response, containment, recovery and clean up and confined space duties
- Willing to perform operating duties as necessary; this is NOT a driving only position
