Are you a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) with at least 3 years experience in a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)? Come join the dynamic team in our nationally recognized NICU.
The CNE maintains competence at the expert level in clinical practice. Responsibilities include the planning, development and delivery of unit-based education programs. This includes, but is not limited to: validating required educational needs and competencies for unit staff; developing unit training programs and processes; oversight of unit preceptorship program, maintaining staff education records and keeping manager informed of currency of staff regarding mandatory education requirements. The CNE must be able to teach courses that are required for unit competency such as PALS. Flexibility in scheduling is required for meeting the educational needs of staff on all shifts.

Essential requires for this position include: Must possess teaching ability and excellent organization skills. Formal training in educational process, educational methodology, and teaching techniques is preferred. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to accept and implement change. Also requires licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Alaska. Bachelors degree in nursing preferred.
