Full Professor Disability

The College of Applied Health Sciences (ahs.illinois.edu at the University of Illinois is inviting nominations and applications for a Full Professor position with expertise in disability. The College of Applied Health Sciences is a national leader in disability and includes the Division of Disability Resources and Educational Services (DRES), the unit that provides services for all campus students with disabilities. The teaching and research activities of the College advance full access and optimal participation of individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate would provide leadership in the interdisciplinary study of disability and would join the colleges Center on Health, Aging, and Disability. Joint appointments in more than one academic unit within the university are also possible. Candidates with research interests in a broad range of areas related to disability are sought (e.g. technology, healthy aging across the lifespan, independent living, policy, employment, and access and optimal participation).

Qualifications: Applicants must hold a degree in a relevant discipline and qualify for appointment at the rank of Full Professor in one of the departments of the College (Kinesiology and Community Health; Recreation, Sport and Tourism; Speech and Hearing Science).

Assistant/Associate Professor Disability

The College of Applied Health Sciences (ahs.illinois.edu at the University of Illinois is inviting nominations and applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor position with expertise in disability. Teaching and research agendas should be directed at providing full access and optimal participation of individuals with physical, cognitive, and/or psychiatric disabilities across the lifespan. The College of Applied Health Sciences is a national leader in disability and includes the Division of Disability Resources and Educational Services (DRES), the unit that provides services for all UIUC students with disabilities. The position offers opportunities to participate in the interdisciplinary study of disability and to join the colleges Center on Health, Aging and Disability. Joint appointments in more than one academic unit are also possible. Candidates with research interests in a broad range of areas related to disability are sought.

Qualifications: Applicants must hold a doctoral degree by August 2010 in a relevant discipline and qualify for appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in one of the departments of the college (Kinesiology and Community Health; Recreation, Sport and Tourism; Speech and Hearing Science).
