Lately, there are so many dumb posters on here requesting professional service at dirt cheap prices. It's true that the economy is not doing too well, but c'mon now. If you seriously think that a web developer/designer will take on a project at $10-$12/hr, who live in Orange County, how many projects do you think is needed to make ends meet each month? $10-$12/hr? How about we just make up an unreasonable number of hours that we work and you pay us that amount? Ok, so a project should really take 20 hours and the usual rate is around $40-$50/hr for a professional to do. That calculates to around $1,000. You want someone for $10-$12/hr, so it will take 80 hours to do. Does that sound good to you? Even if you luck out and you get someone for that price, do you seriously expect the quality to be good? If he has to work 3 to 4 of these projects just to make enough money each month to pay the rent and live, his primary concern is to get through each project as fast as he can.
Why do you post on here? Go post to those freelance sites that overseas companies will bid on a MySpace type site for $400. That's your home, go there. They can afford to live on $400/month, we can't. |
